Forgotten Picture

I was looking over some pictures from the past year and came across this one.  It is such a classic.  We were at a friend's house for a play date and all the kids were swimming and playing in the sprinklers.  We looked over to find Josiah attempting to drink the mud puddle.  I cannot figure out why he is so fascinated by this.  He still does it....

Our Future

Moms tend to watch their children do something and envision them doing the same thing in the future.
Sometimes this is a good thing, but sometimes it is rather scary......

Caleb's 3rd Birthday

This is long overdue, but I just finally got some pictures from Caleb's birthday on August 24th.  :)
The first thing we did that morning was open up the HUGE box that
Poppa and Grammy McMillen sent.

Josiah enjoyed the box the most.

After dropping off Joel at school that morning, we went to get our traditional birthday breakfast donuts.  Caleb had chocolate with sprinkles (surprise, surprise).   My house sounded like a construction zone most of the day while the boys played with their new trucks.  That evening, we met Tim's family at Chuck E. Cheese's.  8 Adults + 3 kids + 2 babies + Chuck E Cheese's = one loud and crazy evening.

The kids had a blast riding the rides.

Caleb had a Cars birthday cake.

Joel was very proud of the gift he picked out (and partially paid for).

Caleb, Joel, and Jake were fascinated by a racing game.  They played it forever!

Happy 3rd Birthday Caleb!  You are such a good brother to Joel and Josiah.  You love to play legos, ride your bike, pretend to be a fireman and policeman, and a you have a great imagination.
You have a sweet, sensitive spirit that calms those around you.
We love you!

First Fall Game

Joel had his first soccer game last weekend.  It is so funny to watch these little ones play, and I have to say that they have GREATLY improved since the spring.  They seemed to figure out what the goal (no pun intended) is, and their kicking/coordination skills have improved.

Tim is the coach....and we have quite the deal worked out.  One of the other dads is the "Assistant Coach" and takes care of all the administrative and communication stuff for the team while Tim does the actual coaching at the practice and games.  These two guys work great together and have really taken advantage of their individual gifts.  :)

I think Joel is staring down his opponents in this pic.....

And this one looks like Tim is telling them they can be "mean"
to the other team and steal the ball away from them.  :)

I am so proud of my husband and my oldest little boy!
